UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH ALABAMA
Located just half a mile from Dicken’s Ferry Apartments is a comprehensive global research and teaching University, USA. USA offers multiple degree programs with emphasis on medicine, business and liberal arts. The University has a wide range of athletics – which is a plus for our sports fans. Watch a game at the 10,000 seat Mitchell Basketball Center, or have a tailgate to support the football team.Â
USA also has a University Hospital with extensive medical facilities. The medical center employs over 1,200 highly trained medical professionals that work tirelessly to ensure premier care and safety. Â
MOBILE BOTANICAL GARDENS & NATURE PARKS
The Mobile Botanical Gardens is a must see for residents and visitors to the area. A 10 min drive from Dickens Ferry, this beautiful botanical center features 100 acres of nature gardens and walking trails. The Winter Edition of the botanical centers present a “Long Leaf Pine Treasure Forest” and special winter gardens. This is a great activity for individuals of all ages.Â

A short 10 minute drive will have you at the entrance of a Publix, Rouses, Winn-Dixie, Whole Foods, or Walmart Neighborhood Market.
